Henry Maxwells Bed & Breakfast Blog
Blenheim, Gateway to the South and North Island
We're still hoping for some great warm weather in Marlborough especially with the wine and food festival coming up, we've had more rain than usual, sothere are some very nice green gardens for a change.
As Blenheim has become somewhat of a gateway to the North and South Island, we have been looking at what we can do to improve our guests experience here and as they move to the next location. The free laundry and internet use has proved to be a hit. Guests are staying 2 or 3 days just to have a breather. People are coming from North, South, East and West having a bit of time out and catch up with things, and enjoy some gentle sight seeing, fine dining and vineyard visiting. Definitely a trend.
We can now offer guests heading off Nelson, the opportunity to book our cute little house that we have purchased there. It is in a very accessible spot, with open decks and sea views. All set up ready for the independant traveller. Just has Bleheim has become a base for the Marlborough Sounds, Kaikoura, Picton, our house provides a base in the Nelson area.
We already have hosted several groups there, and have had some wonderful comments.
The rates are very reasonable, so if you're interested please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Good luck with the planning of your holiday, we hope to see you very soon at Henry Maxwell's.
Cheers
Diana and Graham
